  • “Two Sparrows To Nest” will be a historic novel about how a boy and girl emerged from the changing times of 1925-1950. It is written more to communicate feeling than fact, though the fact of WWII transformed every family in America from a rural farm-based lifestyle toward an urban lifestyle.

In “Two Sparrows To Nest” a farm boy leaves a substance farm in Jefferson County, Georgia, survives WWII, and ends up marrying and having a family with a girl from a substance lifestyle farm in Giles County, Tennessee. The farm-based friend he boarded the train with for induction was not so lucky, as they were all killed and buried on different islands in the Pacific. They did not have a chance to have a family.

This transformation of American society is not easily written. But when accurately written triggers recollections and stories within every family in America whose relatives also survived or died in WWII. And it is more fun than writing legal briefs.

  • A COLLIE AT MY HEELS.

Few grew up without a dog. “A Collie at My Heels” is a novel covering 12 years of a boy’s life, from age 2 to 14. The collie will be there when no one else is, from diapers to girls. That is a long time. A lot of Christmases, Birthdays, holidays, and just plain summer days on the river and yard. Not all Collie dogs retrieve, but this one was seldom without a red rubber ball or other fetch toys.
